Biography: Jeanne Dodds
A committed practicing artist, Jeanne Dodds works in a range of media,
including photography, illustration, jewelry, drawing, painting, fiber,
and assemblage. She regards these disciplines as tools for execution
of project ideas, merging technical competence with creative inspiration
in her work.
Possessing a BFA with honors in Photography and a Certificate in Scientific
Illustration, Ms. Dodds continues her education on an ongoing basis through
attendance at workshops and classes. As a teaching artist, she offers
instruction to adults and children at locations
in Western States and
is the owner
of the Seattle based art and teaching business Artemis. Current passions
include 18th century literature, remote mountains, yarn, old cameras,
and her boyfriend, family, friends and pets.
Artemis:
Artemis, a Seattle based business, is the umbrella organization
for art instruction and creative projects offered by teaching artist and
owner Jeanne Dodds. Ms. Dodds has extensive career experience as a director
and coordinator for non-profit education programs and has been teaching
art since 1999. In operation since 2004, Artemis provides visual arts
classes for adults and children in partnership with museums, non-profit
organizations and schools.
